The Carpathia arrived at the scene at 4:10 am and began rescue of the survivors.

At 8:30 am on April 15th, 1912, the Carpathia picked up the last of the Titanic survivors, then headed en route to New York.

Today in Titanic history...

This evening Titanic saw the last sunset it would ever see. Who knew that only about 6-7 hrs it would strike an iceberg and sink beneath the icy Northern Atlantic waters. On April 11th, 1912, 102 years ago, Titanic raised anchor from Queenstown, Ireland, and set sail for New York. This picture was the last photo taken of the Titanic afloat.
